Welcome to Irish Ballet Forum!

——–

Irish Ballet Forum was created to aid the development of Irish ballet and to strengthen the fundamental framework and essential infrastructure needed for a ballet dancer to progress from student to professional. Irish Ballet Forum was founded on the belief that the building and maintaining of partnerships and the sharing of resources and knowledge would enable ballet in Ireland to reach unprecedented levels of achievement and success.

Irish Ballet Forum serves all parts of the ballet community including students, teachers, professional dancers, emerging and established companies and organisations, and everyone in between. We address issues and concerns facing ballet in Ireland and strive to introduce a range of advocacy, education and training, performance, networking, creative exchange, and open discussion initiatives. We work with members of the ballet community on the singular purpose of forwarding ballet in Ireland and creating a strong and unified voice. We are a platform for open communication and new collaborations. We work to benefit all groups within the ballet community by building a cohesive infrastructure and fostering new and innovative efforts to nurture existing practices. The heart of Irish Ballet Forum is a belief in mutually beneficial objectives. We aim to promote ballet in Ireland and Irish ballet abroad and are dedicated to long lasting relationships with our ballet colleagues, the wider dance and arts communities, and international counterparts.

Ultimately, we exist to assure ballet dancers can train, create, perform, and excel without having to leave the island of Ireland.
